

When he gets a smoke signal from Dorma, signaling that his army has arrived and are waiting for his signal, he begins tossing grenades at the Nazi camp, catching the soldiers within completely off guard. Then stealing a bunch of grenades, he camps out in a cave until dawn. Knocking out any guards that he sees, Namor takes a number of cables and ties them to the motors of the Nazi U-Boats. Deciding to go and investigate the location, Namor sends Dorma back to Atlantis to bring back an army of Aero-Subs to help with his plan.Īrriving at the island, Namor waits until dark and sneaks to shore. Gaining permission to speak with the German lieutenant, Namor manages to frighten him into telling about a secret Nazi submarine base located on a remote island near Florida. Convince that Kalif is telling the truth, the Torch agrees to help them stop the Fire-Monsters that are loose.įollowing their battle against Nazi parachute troops on a French controlled island, the Sub-Mariner decides that there is still more that he can do to help end the war that is ravaging Europe.

Easily over powering the monster with his own flame powers, the Torch kills the creature. He is quickly over powered by an air blaster and tossed into a pit where he must face against a captured Fire-Monster. Finding this story ridiculous, the Torch tries to bring Kalif into police headquarters for questioning.

He is told how the Fire-Men are an ancient sect charged with keeping the dreaded Fire-Monsters at bay. Deciding that something bigger is happening the Torch decides to listen. There he bursts his way in expecting a fight however Kalif only offers him a chance to explain himself. Going back to Pete, he finds his partner knocked out and left with a note stating that Ronald was served a just fate and invites the Torch to meet them at the Temple of the Flame.ĭeciding this requires investigation, the Torch decides to check it out and soon arrives at the temple.

While the Torch breaks free, the two lamas escape and Ronald burns to death. Using a flame whip, Kalif strikes both the Torch and Ronald. One of the lamas named Kalif returns and explains that Ronald was going to use their secrets for his own selfish ends. In the aftermath, the Torch learns that two years ago Roland was lost in the mountains of Tibet and taken in by these lamas who taught him their secrets to control flame. When the men causes the flames inside Ronald's home to turn blue - thus immune to the Torch's control over fire, the Torch must focus on putting the blaze out while the two lamas flee the scene. Much to the Torch's surprise, the men who bombed Ronald's home are immune to his flame powers, the strange attackers are also equally surprised by the Torch's ability to control flame. The Human Torch and his colleague Peter arrive on the scene first. A man named Ronald's estate is attacked by two Tibetan Lamas, alerting the attention of the police.
